Techgene Solutions seeks a Senior Technical Manager to lead engineering teams and oversee delivery of scalable backend applications using Python and AWS. The role drives AI-assisted engineering adoption and manages architecture, security, CI/CD, deployments, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality software delivery
• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python and AWS services
• Drive AI-assisted engineering adoption to improve coding efficiency, testing, debugging, and code quality
• Oversee application architecture, code reviews, security, performance, and engineering best practices
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployments, and production support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements
• Identify technical risks and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes
• Review solution designs and provide technical recommendations to ensure scalable, maintainable, and robust implementations
• Assign technical responsibilities, monitor team performance, and guide engineers in resolving complex technical challenges
• Oversee delivery milestones, resource utilization, and technical dependencies to ensure predictable and timely delivery
• Facilitate discussions with business and technical stakeholders to align priorities, manage expectations, and resolve escalations
• Ensure adherence to security requirements, coding standards, and organizational engineering best practices
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive improvements in development processes, engineering practices, and team productivity
• Identify and monitor delivery risks, drive mitigation measures, and ensure production readiness and operational stability

Skills

• Proven experience in technical leadership, team mentoring, and solution design
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Experience leveraging AI assisted engineering tools for solution design, coding, debugging, testing, and code optimization
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, application security, and production deployment practices
• Proficiency in Python for backend development, REST APIs, and microservices
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture
• Practical experience using AI powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q Developer, Cursor, or equivalent tools for code generation, refactoring, debugging, automated testing, and documentation
• Demonstrates innovation in identifying, proposing, and implementing new ideas and process improvements
• Highly motivated, self-driven, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues within the team with minimal supervision
• Ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and effectively implement new tools, technologies, and processes
• Experience with Go (Golang) development
• Experience with Go (Golang) is an added advantage
