The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications, focusing on API development and ensuring secure software delivery within a modern DevSecOps environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain applications using C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core
• Develop and support RESTful and SOAP APIs for system integrations
• Apply DevSecOps practices to ensure secure, reliable software delivery
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code using TDD (XUnit)
• Produce and maintain clear, structured technical documentation
• Utilize GitHub for version control, branching strategies, and collaboration
• Collaborate with Product Development and Production Support teams to deliver enhancements and resolve issues
• Build and optimize data access layers using Microsoft SQL Server and Dapper ORM
• Implement logging, monitoring, and log streaming solutions for observability
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Aspire orchestration
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
• Collaborate with developers in small groups of varying sizes to rapidly deliver features
• Leverage Agentic AI and code assist tools as productivity enhancers while maintaining ownership of engineering outcomes

Skills

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core
• Proven experience developing RESTful APIs and SOAP services
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Dapper ORM
• Hands-on experience with GitHub workflows and version control
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized application development
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure coding practices
• Solid understanding of: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID design principles, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) using test suites XUnit, NUnit
• Experience integrating automated UI/UX testing with Selenium
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Python and/or Node.js
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with MERN, MEAN, or LAMP stacks
• Familiarity with 12-Factor (12F) application development principles
• Experience with microservices or distributed systems
• Experience working with Financial, Insurance, or Healthcare systems
• Strong preference for candidates with deep hands-on experience in the Microsoft technology stack (C#, .NET), with demonstrated focus on building and operating solutions within that ecosystem
