[Remote] Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is hiring an AI Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered software solutions. The role focuses on building machine learning and generative AI applications, scalable APIs, AI pipelines, and integrations with enterprise systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams and implementing testing, monitoring, and deployment practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain AI-powered software applications
- Build and integrate machine learning and generative AI solutions into production systems
- Develop scalable APIs and backend services for AI applications
- Work with LLMs, NLP, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases
- Develop and optimize machine learning models and AI pipelines
- Integrate AI models with existing applications and enterprise systems
- Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers
- Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Debug and optimize AI applications for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Implement testing, monitoring, and deployment practices for AI systems
- Stay updated with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices
Skills
- * 2–4 years of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, or a related field
- Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java
- Hands-on experience with Machine Learning and AI development
- Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, NLP, or RAG
- Strong understanding of software development, APIs, databases, and data structures
- Experience with Git and software development best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or other LLM APIs
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, or similar AI frameworks
- Knowledge of vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, or FAISS
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD and MLOps
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow
