Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is hosting a contract opportunity for a Software QA Engineer. The role focuses on testing complex web applications through Java and TestNG automation, SQL-based data validation, Playwright, performance testing, and functional and regression testing, along with manual testing and defect documentation.

Skills

Experience testing complex web applications
Hands-on automation experience using Java and TestNG
Strong expertise in SQL and data validation
Experience with Playwright
Experience with workflow-driven test automation
Experience with JMeter, WAPT Pro, or similar performance/load testing tools
Experience with automated functional and regression testing
Strong understanding of manual testing, defect management, and test documentation
Experience with Jira and Zephyr Scale
Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development/testing tools
Experience with accessibility testing and standards
Experience working with Texas state government agencies or Texas school systems
Experience supporting grants or in-kind programs
Experience leading or coordinating QA testing teams
