Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking a Software QA Engineer to support software validation for new features and bug fixes. This role involves approximately 80% manual testing and 20% automation, requiring strong manual QA experience and the ability to work closely with software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual testing for new software features and bug fixes
• Perform regression testing to ensure releases do not introduce new issues
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate repeatable test activities
• Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and validation documentation
• Support two-week development cycles with approximately 5 new features and 15 bug fixes per sprint
• Collaborate with developers to validate fixes and improve software quality

Skills

• 2+ years of software QA or software testing experience
• Strong manual functional and regression testing experience
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira
• Basic to intermediate Python scripting experience
• Understanding of Agile software development processes
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience with API testing or test automation frameworks
• Familiarity with Git, Linux, or command-line tools
• Experience supporting software products within a large technology environment
