The role focuses on investigating historical financial transactions, resolving discrepancies, maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting accurate financial reporting and month-end close across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical accounting records to identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain compliance with accounting standards
• Develop and maintain comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring audit readiness and transparency
• Manage accounting tasks across international entities, including handling multi-currency transactions and intercompany activity
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items to ensure clarity in account activity
• Contribute to financial cleanup efforts across multiple entities and international operations
• Document findings and provide recommendations to improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Utilize NetSuite software to manage complex accounting tasks and resolve historical transaction issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accurate financial reporting and compliance
• Assist with month-end close processes, including general ledger and account reconciliation tasks

Skills

• This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, with a proven track record in balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong analytical skills to review historical transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting
• Ability to work independently and manage investigative accounting tasks with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with accounting practices in detail-oriented services or multinational organizations
• Knowledge of multi-entity operations, including multi-currency transactions and intercompany reconciliations
