Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pinterest is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to build and improve machine learning technology that personalizes Pinterest. The role partners with teams across product surfaces to improve retrieval and ranking, apply LLMs and embeddings to content understanding, and support experimentation and product launches.

Responsibilities

• Build cutting edge technology using the latest advances in deep learning and machine learning to personalize Pinterest
• Partner closely with teams across Pinterest to experiment and improve ML models for various product surfaces (Homefeed, Ads, Growth, Shopping, and Search), while gaining knowledge of how ML works in different areas
• Use data driven methods and leverage the unique properties of our data to improve candidates’ retrieval and ranking
• Work in a high-impact environment with quick experimentation and product launches
• Keep up with industry trends in recommendation systems
• Leverage LLMs and embeddings to enhance content understanding
• Telecommuting and/or remote work is permitted

Skills

• Master's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, or closely related quantitative discipline
• Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related software engineering field
• At least three (3) years of experience with each of the following: Pytorch
• At least three (3) years of experience with each of the following: Tensorflow
• At least three (3) years of experience with each of the following: LATEX
• At least three (3) years of experience with each of the following: Scikit-learn
• At least three (3) years of experience with each of the following: SQL
