The Senior Mobile Developer will design, develop, and maintain cross-platform iOS and Android applications, integrate AWS-backed APIs and services, optimize mobile performance, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using a framework like React Native
• Implement UI/UX designs to create responsive and user-friendly mobile interfaces
• Optimize app performance for various devices and screen sizes
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product teams to ensure a seamless user experience
• Leverage AWS services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3 to build and integrate backend functionality into mobile apps
• Develop, maintain, and optimize APIs for mobile app communication with the backend
• Implement authentication, user management, and data synchronization features using AWS Cognito or similar services
• Utilize a cross-platform development framework to maximize code reusability across iOS and Android
• Ensure platform-specific optimizations and customizations when necessary
• Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in cross-platform mobile development
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, and execution
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to refine requirements and provide technical expertise
• Continuously improve development processes and practices
• Foster a collaborative team environment and provide guidance to junior developers
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project alignment
• Contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing, and documentation

Skills

• Proficiency in cross-platform mobile development using React Native or a similar framework
• Extensive experience with iOS and Android app development
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns
• Familiarity with AWS services for backend development, including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3
• Experience with API integration and third-party service integration in mobile apps
• Version control using Git and GitHub
• Familiarity with NodeJS and TypeScript
• Minimum of 5 years of mobile app development experience for iOS and Android platforms
• Proven track record of developing cross-platform mobile apps and integrating backend services
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team and with stakeholders
• Agile Scrum methodology proficiency
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements and technology landscapes
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Relevant certifications in mobile development (e.g., React Native)
• AWS Certified Developer - Associate or Professional
