The Sr. Software Development Engineer will design and develop network control plane software, collaborate on advanced networking solutions and algorithms, and help onboard and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing network control plane software for highly scaled networks, using SDN and traditional routing/switching solutions
• Working with management, customers and development team to develop state of the art solutions, incorporating new technologies and algorithms and innovations
• Help onboard and mentor new team members

Skills

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
