Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Switch is hiring a Staff Accountant to support accurate and timely financial reporting. The role maintains general ledger accounts, prepares journal entries and reconciliations, supports month-end close and audits, and works with other departments to resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
• Reconcile and review general ledger accounts and prepare adjusting or reclassification entries when needed
• Support the monthly close and preparation of financial statements
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and research discrepancies
• Record expense allocations, accruals, prepaid expense amortization, and fixed asset depreciation
• Analyze general ledger activity related to areas such as treasury, fixed assets, employee benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses
• Support quarterly reviews and the annual audit by preparing documentation and responding to requests
• Work with other departments to ensure business activity is recorded accurately
• Assist with financial statements, budget performance reporting, and interim financial reporting
• Research accounting and financial questions using available data and supporting records
• Complete accounting analysis and other related assignments as needed

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience preparing journal entries and monthly reconciliations
• Understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings clearly
• Experience working in a Sarbanes-Oxley compliant environment
• Oracle Fusion Cloud experience
