OSC Technical Solutions is hiring a System Administrator III to support technical infrastructure spanning hardware, software, and cloud services. The role designs and implements infrastructure solutions, investigates and resolves issues, and supports system monitoring, backups, security, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Map the relationship between IT platform/Infrastructure components (i.e. Technology End Users, IT System Software & Hardware and info-Communications Transmission Networks)
• Identify key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms
• Investigate and analyze problems to identify root causes and ensure timely resolution
• Design and implement system monitoring and performance optimization solution
• Design, implement, and maintain backup strategies, ensuring data integrity and availability
• Design documentation configuration baselining of systems, testing or modification of IT infrastructure
• Evaluate new solutions through research and collaboration and determine course of action for new technical initiatives
• Responsible for incident escalation and coordination of resources to resolve issues in a timely manner to meet Service Level Agreement metrics
• Support Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations (DR/COOP) exercises, testing and live incidents per procedures and policies
• Maintain security and integrity controls
• Prepare written technical documentation, training material, standards, and reports
• Evaluate and recommend procurements of Windows or Appliance based hardware and software
• Evaluate total cost of ownership and return on investment of various IT platform/infrastructure alternatives
• Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned

• Proficient using Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and industry-standard computer software and databases
• High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information

• Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to obtain Department of Energy PIV badge
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
• Knowledge with Active Directory, ADFS, Group Policy Management, Identity Management
• Knowledge of the AZURE ecosystem
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles
