Open role
[Remote] Territory Sales Manager - MRO / HVAC
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Airocide Systems develops air-purification technology for healthcare, food and cold storage, controlled-environment agriculture, commercial buildings, schools, and other facilities where clean air matters. The Territory Sales Manager will own and grow an assigned U.S. territory by generating pipeline, selling technical air-purification products through MRO and industrial-distribution channels, developing end-user demand, and building recurring replacement revenue.
Responsibilities
- Own a defined territory: build the plan, generate your own pipeline, and carry the number
- Create demand at the end user (facility managers, plant and HVAC engineers, EHS and safety leaders) and get Airocide specified into their standards
- Sell through the channel: work alongside Grainger and other distributor sellers and branches so the order flows through the customer's existing account, and pursue catalog placement and national-account contracts where they fit
- Run consultative, value-based sales: lead with the on-site audit, quantify impact (indoor air quality, uptime, energy and coil-fouling savings, compliance), and map every stakeholder from engineering to procurement to finance
- Build and protect the recurring reorder: keep the install base you win, set replacement-lamp cadence, and put accounts on auto-replenish where possible
- Manage your territory like a business: disciplined travel, tight follow-up, and clean, current records in our CRM (Zoho)
- Use AI tools every day to research accounts, prepare for calls, personalize outreach, and keep the pipeline sharp. It is part of how we work
- Feed the field back to us: what is landing, what customers need, and where the next opportunity is
Skills
- • 7+ years of B2B field sales in MRO, industrial distribution, or technical building products, with a documented record of hitting and beating quota
- • A proven track record carrying and exceeding a seven-figure annual sales quota
- • A hunter. You generate your own pipeline and close, rather than waiting on inbound or living off an inherited book
- • Already established in a market. You live in the territory you would cover and bring existing local relationships you can sell into from day one. This is a role for someone entrenched in their market, not relocating into a new one
- • You have sold into or alongside large distributors (Grainger, Fastenal, MSC, Motion, Applied, or similar) and understand how product actually moves through the channel: pull-through demand, specification selling, national-account vs. branch buying, and vendor-managed inventory
- • Technical aptitude: you can learn a technical, regulated product and sell it credibly to engineers and facilities buyers, without overstating what it does
- • Consultative seller who leads with business value and total cost of ownership
- • Disciplined remote self-manager with strong CRM habits and strong written communication
- • Thrives in an early-stage environment: comfortable with ambiguity, builds pipeline and process where none exists yet, and creates your own momentum without the brand pull, inbound leads, or large support teams of a big company
- • Willing to travel within your territory and based in or near it. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a home office
- • Consistent top-tier performance: President's Club, top 10% of your sales organization, or repeated quota over-achievement
- • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
- • Hands-on experience using AI tools in a sales workflow, and eagerness to adopt new technology
- • Direct experience with UV-C, indoor air quality, HVAC, or filtration products
- • An existing network in one or more of our verticals: healthcare, food and cold storage, controlled-environment ag or cannabis, schools and commercial buildings, wine and beverage, or data centers
- • Established local-market relationships across the full state or region you would cover, not just your home metro
- • Time at, or a product line personally placed into, Grainger, Fastenal, or MSC
- • Experience with KeepStock or other vendor-managed-inventory and national-account contracting
- • Experience selling a consumable or recurring-revenue (razor-and-blades) product
- • Membership or active participation in ASHRAE, IFMA, BOMA, RSES, or ASHE
Benefits
- Uncapped, accelerating commission plan that rewards both new business and the recurring reorder you build
- A protected ramp so you can build a territory the right way, with guaranteed earnings while your pipeline matures
- A genuinely differentiated, FDA Class II product with field proof, in growing markets
- A direct line to the VP of Global Sales and real ownership of your territory: less bureaucracy, more impact
- Remote work in the United States
