FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours:40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details: 1st Holidays: no Weekends: no Job Summary The RN Clinical Data Abstraction Coordinator is responsible for abstraction, analysis, and submission of clinical data to national registries. This position is responsible for the quality and coordination of data collection, data entry, analysis, report preparation, report submission, presentation of data, data sharing for process improvement initiatives and benchmarking/projections of future performance trends. Incumbent maintains detailed knowledge of registry field definition and registry reporting requirements. The RN Clinical Data Abstraction Coordinator is responsible for the technical and methodological support of the assigned registry/registries. He/she takes the initiative to identify knowledge gaps and actively works to build knowledge in others on the multidisciplinary team in relation to the national registries supported. This position is responsible for communicating report findings to others throughout the organization, interacting with various members of the multidisciplinary teams. Other information EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of 1 year of related work experience in Cardiac Cath Lab/EP lab, Cardiovascular medicine/ICU, cardiac surgery or vascular surgery is required. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: None. EDUCATION REQUIRED: A minimum of an Associate degree in nursing is required. EDUCATION PREFERRED: None. TRAINING REQUIRED: None. TRAINING PREFERRED: None. SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Analytical, critical thinker, accuracy/attention to detail, self-disciplined, thrives in an independent working environment. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office is required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Advanced experience working in Epic EHR (documenting, chart navigation). SPECIAL SKILLS PREFERRED: None.
