Sales and Account Manager Director

Remote · Spain Full-time

Overview

We’re on a mission to fix dental software - and we’re not playing small. Our platform replaces clunky, outdated systems with modern, cloud-based, AI-powered technology built to actually work at scale. From practice management to imaging to revenue cycle automation, we’re tearing down the old infrastructure and rebuilding the future of dentistry. Planet DDS is the fastest-growing provider of dental practice management solutions and the #1 cloud platform for DSOs and multi-location groups.

Here, you won’t just join a team - you’ll join a movement. We want bold thinkers who are ambitious enough to push limits, empathetic enough to work as one, and accountable enough to own big outcomes. Trust is our currency, collaboration is our edge, and impact is our fuel. If you’re ready to grow fast, challenge the status quo, and help reinvent an entire industry, Planet DDS is where you belong.

Canada is the next chapter in Planet DDS's growth story, and this role is where it starts. We have signed our first Canadian anchor customer, and we are investing in product localization, onboarding and go-to-market to make Canada a market we win in, not just a market we sell into.

As our first Canadian hire, the Sale and Account Manager Director will be the face of Planet DDS in the market and a founding member of what we expect to become a Canadian team. You will work side by side with our anchor customer to build the in-market success story that opens the door for every DSO that follows. You will also shape the Canadian product roadmap, working directly with Product so that what we build fits how Canadian dental groups actually operate.

You will have the backing of an established U.S. Enterprise organization, a dedicated Solutions Engineer, marketing support and a robust travel and events budget. This is a rare chance to build a new market from the ground up, with real company investment and executive visibility.

Role Summary

  • You will own the full go-to-market motion for Canada: new business development, account management and expansion across dental groups and DSOs from 2 to 100 locations. This is a player-coach, market-building role. In the early days you will wear many hats and stay hands-on across prospecting, closing, customer partnership and account growth. As the market matures, you are expected to build and lead a Canadian team.
  • Today, our Canadian book of business consists of one anchor customer. This is a greenfield opportunity, not an inherited territory. Initially, you will work closely with the anchor customer to establish the in-market success story.
  • You will report directly to the VP of Revenue and be deeply embedded within the Enterprise team, partnering with U.S. Enterprise sales leadership and solutions engineering on larger or more complex opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish the in-market success story. Work closely with our anchor customer through onboarding and early adoption to build a Canadian reference that drives future sales.
  • Own the full sales cycle for Canadian prospects (2–100 locations), from prospecting and qualification through close.
  • Own post-sale growth: renewals, expansion and cross-sell across the full Planet DDS suite, including Denticon, Cloud 9, Apteryx, Echelon, RCM+ and our add-on solutions. All products are sellable in Canada, but applicability varies. For example, revenue cycle management is less complex in Canada than in the U.S., so the need for RCM solutions is lower.
  • Build and execute the Canadian go-to-market plan, including pipeline generation, prospecting and relationships with DSOs, dental groups and industry stakeholders.
  • Influence the Canadian product roadmap through close collaboration with Product, bringing market and customer insight into development priorities.
  • Partner with the U.S. Enterprise team and bring in sales leadership and solutions engineering as needed on larger or more complex opportunities.
  • Represent Planet DDS at Canadian industry events, conferences and study clubs to build market presence and pipeline.
  • Develop deep product expertise across the full catalog to support both new-logo and expansion conversations.
  • Report on pipeline, forecast and account health on a regular cadence.
  • Grow a team. As the market matures, hire and lead additional Canadian sales and account management talent.

  • Based in Canada
  • 8-11 years of technology sales experience
  • Experience working for U.S.-based software companies
  • Track record of owning both new business and account management
  • Comfortable operating independently in a new-market, first-hire capacity while collaborating closely with an established U.S. team
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with credibility among DSO executives and practice owners
  • Willingness to travel across Canada

Preferred Skills

  • Dental or DSO experience
  • Prior experience as a first market builder or in a market-opening role
