Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Salesforce Architect with experience in Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud or Education Cloud to lead the stabilization and ongoing enhancement of a newly launched donor and community engagement platform. This individual will own technical delivery as support transitions from the implementation partner to the internal team. Responsibilities include assessing the existing environment, resolving complex production issues, designing enhancements, and providing technical direction to a Salesforce administrator and junior administrator. The ideal candidate combines strong Salesforce architecture expertise with practical experience supporting and improving production environments. Candidates with Education Cloud experience who can apply their expertise to donor, constituent, and community engagement workflows are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Own the technical architecture and ongoing improvement of the Salesforce platform. Lead the transition from the implementation partner, including knowledge transfer and review of existing configuration, integrations, documentation, and outstanding issues. Investigate production defects, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions. Translate business needs into technical designs, actionable requirements, and enhancement plans. Prioritize and delegate work to internal Salesforce administrators, providing technical guidance and reviewing completed work. Lead hands-on configuration and complex enhancements while maintaining platform stability. Establish testing, deployment, and documentation practices to support reliable releases. Partner with business stakeholders to improve platform functionality, data quality, and user experience.

Required Qualifications

Experience serving as a Salesforce Architect with hands-on responsibility for solution design and delivery. Strong architecture and implementation experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud or Salesforce Education Cloud. Experience designing and supporting Salesforce Experience Cloud solutions. Demonstrated success stabilizing and enhancing Salesforce production environments following implementation or a major launch. Strong troubleshooting skills across Salesforce configuration, automation, integrations, and data. Experience translating complex business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions. Ability to understand donor, constituent, and community engagement workflows and translate them into effective platform capabilities. Experience directing work, mentoring administrators, and maintaining accountability for delivery. Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with technical and business stakeholders.
