The ideal candidate is a hands-on architectural professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to independently manage projects from planning and entitlement through construction documents, permitting, and construction administration.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple architectural projects and coordinate daily production. Prepare, review, and oversee construction documents. Manage planning and entitlement applications, including discretionary approvals, zoning reviews, and coordination with planning departments across various jurisdictions. Coordinate with structural, civil, MEP, landscape, and other consultants. Review drawings for code compliance, constructability, and quality control. Manage building permit submissions, plan-check corrections, and agency coordination. Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and city departments. Direct junior staff and coordinate project deadlines and deliverables. Assist with construction administration and resolving field issues.

Qualifications

Minimum 7–10 years of architectural experience. Demonstrated architectural experience in single-family residential, multi-family housing, and mixed-use developments. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Thorough understanding of California Building Codes, zoning regulations, and construction detailing. Experience managing planning entitlements and building permit approvals across multiple jurisdictions. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. California architectural license preferred but not required. Work Schedule & Location Full-time position, five days per week. Monday–Thursday: In-office. Friday: Work from home. Office Location: Currently located in Monrovia, California, with a relocation westward toward the Glendale area in the coming months.
