Job Description: Senior Business Analyst (10+ Years of Experience) Job Title: Senior Business Analyst Experience: 10+ Years Job Type: Contract W2 only Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with 10+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, process improvement, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear functional requirements and actionable solutions. The candidate should have strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills, along with experience managing complex projects in an Agile or Waterfall environment.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and technical teams to understand business objectives and requirements. Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions to identify business needs and challenges. Analyze existing business processes, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities. Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), Business Process Documents, and Use Cases. Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, workflow diagrams, and functional specifications. Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, root cause analysis, and feasibility assessments. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development and testing teams. Work closely with developers, QA teams, architects, and project managers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, where applicable. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop test scenarios, validate test results, and coordinate defect resolution. Manage requirement traceability and ensure deliverables align with business objectives and project scope. Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues, and communicate them to relevant stakeholders. Prepare management reports, dashboards, presentations, and status updates to support decision-making. Support change management, production implementation, and post-deployment validation. Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to best practices, documentation standards, and continuous improvement. Required Skills and Qualifications 10+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement. Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process maps, and functional specifications. Proficiency in requirement-gathering techniques, business process modeling, gap analysis, and impact analysis. Strong knowledge of Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence. Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis, data validation, and report verification. Understanding of APIs, system integrations, databases, and application workflows. Experience in test planning, UAT coordination, defect tracking, and requirements traceability. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or other relevant business analysis certification. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting and visualization tools. Familiarity with process modeling tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms. Experience working in large-scale enterprise projects and handling multiple stakeholders. Domain experience in banking, financial services, healthcare, insurance, retail, or other enterprise environments. Knowledge of data migration, system modernization, digital transformation, and process automation initiatives.
