Role Description The Senior Consultant – Workday HCM will lead and support Workday Human Capital Management implementations and optimizations for clients in complex operating environments. This contract, remote role will focus on assessing HR and HCM processes, configuring Workday modules, and advising stakeholders on best practices for workforce data, benefits, and employee lifecycle management. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting requirements workshops, translating business needs into Workday configurations, performing system testing, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as finance, IT, and operations. The consultant will develop documentation, support change management and user training, and troubleshoot issues to ensure stable, scalable HCM solutions. This role also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to integrate AI, automation, and analytics into HR workflows.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Human Capital Management and Human Capital, especially in modernizing and optimizing HCM processes. Strong background in Human Resources (HR) operations, including core HR processes, workforce data management, and HR compliance. Knowledge of Employee Benefits administration, configuration, and integration within Workday or similar HCM platforms. Consulting experience, including client-facing work, requirements gathering, solution design, and stakeholder communication. Hands-on Workday HCM configuration and implementation experience (e.g., Core HCM, Benefits, Talent, Absence, or related modules). Ability to analyze complex HR workflows, recommend improvements, and align systems with business objectives. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate workshops. Experience working in or with mid-market, PE-backed, healthcare, telecom, or public sector organizations is beneficial. Proven ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment, managing multiple priorities and client engagements. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or similar Rate: $85/hr
