You'll collaborate with a lean, expert team to deliver enterprise-scale data solutions, leveraging cutting-edge AWS and big data technologies. This contract offers a path to full-time employment for candidates with a four-year degree. Responsibilities - Architect and develop robust cloud-native applications and backend services - Design and implement low-latency, enterprise-ready GraphQL APIs - Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing AWS and big data tools - Apply monitoring and observability best practices to ensure system reliability and performance - Collaborate closely with two full-time engineers and contribute actively to a high-performing team - Deliver production-ready solutions with a strong focus on reliability and security Required Skills and Experience - 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience - Deep expertise in application development and data engineering - Demonstrated proficiency with GraphQL and API development - Advanced AWS skills, including Lambda, ECS, and Glue - Strong experience with PySpark, Apache Spark, Snowflake, AWS Glue, and batch processing frameworks - Working knowledge of DynamoDB and PostgreSQL - Proven track record in cloud monitoring, observability, and providing production support - Bachelor’s degree required for full-time conversion Preferred Skills - Experience in lean, fast-paced engineering environments - Passion for building scalable, reliable systems from the ground up Benefits - Remote work flexibility (EST preferred) - Competitive contract rate with possibility for full-time conversion - Opportunity to shape enterprise-scale solutions using modern technology stacks - Highly collaborative and growth-focused team environment
