ABOUT THE COMPANY

OAG is the essential intelligence partner transforming global travel. For nearly a century, we've been the foundation the travel industry builds on, trusted, proven, essential. Today, we're going beyond.

We combine unmatched data quality, quantity and access with breakthrough technology and deep industry expertise to deliver what the industry truly needs: not just more data, but better answers. From real-time operational intelligence to strategic decision-making, we power the entire travel ecosystem, from airlines and airports to technology companies and financial institutions.

We are actively embedding AI throughout our intelligence layer, combining nearly a century of proprietary data with the latest technology to deliver answers that were simply not possible before.

We exist because travel moves the world, and we move travel. By transforming complexity into clarity and questions into answers, we give our partners the intelligence they need to thrive in an evolving world. For more information visit www.oag.com

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will join OAG's Platform Engineering team to help build, deploy and support services across our multi-cloud (AWS and Azure) environment, using automation and modern DevOps practices to keep systems reliable, secure and fast. The role exists to improve service delivery, support customer-facing applications, and bring Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices into day-to-day operations. This is a remote role, open to candidates located anywhere in the UK.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Work as part of the Platform Engineering team to deploy and operate services across our multi-cloud (AWS and Azure) environment.
  • Deploy and manage applications using our GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, ArgoCD or Flux), and automate infrastructure and support processes with tools such as Terraform/OpenTofu.
  • Build, support and optimise production environments running on Kubernetes, rapidly learning existing systems to help maintain high availability.
  • Apply SRE and IaC practices day to day, collaborating with developers and other technical teams to improve observability, reliability and efficiency (e.g. OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Help enforce zero-trust security and policy-as-code guardrails across the platform (e.g. Kyverno, OPA/Conftest, Cilium).
  • Support the platform's identity, audit and policy model as it extends to business-process and agent-driven automation and to managed data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, n8n, and MCP-connected AI agents).
  • Participate in rostered on-call support and troubleshooting, ensuring timely incident response and system recovery.
  • Use AI tooling to help accelerate day-to-day delivery and support work.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience implementing CI/CD and version-control practices using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
  • Practical knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud, networking, containers and Kubernetes.
  • Practical knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform/OpenTofu, Crossplane).
  • Practical knowledge of at least one modern, vendor-neutral observability tool (e.g. OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Security-minded, with some exposure to policy-as-code and zero-trust tooling (e.g. OPA/Conftest, Kyverno, Cilium, SPIFFE/SPIRE) or similar.
  • Comfortable scripting in Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Curiosity about applying AI tooling (e.g. AI coding assistants, AI-assisted testing or AI-assisted incident response) to speed up delivery and support.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of ownership and a quality-first mindset.
  • Clear communicator and effective team player.

If you don't meet every requirement but feel excited about this role, we'd still love to hear from you.

WE WILL OFFER YOU

πŸ’‘ You will proactively explore and adopt AI tools and automation in your day-to-day work, keeping the customer at the centre of everything you do. You will share learnings with your team and approach new technologies with curiosity and an open mind. At OAG, finding better ways to work and putting customers first is everyone's responsibility.

πŸš€ Real responsibility on hard problems, with the autonomy to own decisions and act on them, in an open culture built on trust.

🏑 Flexible working arrangements that allow remote work or office attendance

πŸ’° An attractive compensation and benefits package, including private health insurance, a company bonus scheme and enhanced pension scheme

πŸ–οΈ 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a day off during your birthday month. Plus the option to purchase up to an additional 10 days leave.

⚑ Octopus EV salary sacrifice scheme

🌍 Work remotely anywhere in the world for up to 1 month per year

OAG is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and able to perform at their best.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. If you require reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know β€” we’re happy to have an open conversation about how we can support you.

Experience with CI/CD and version control (GitHub Actions), AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/OpenTofu), observability tools, policy-as-code, scripting in Python/Bash, and interest in AI tooling.
