Job Overview

Relativity (Chicago, IL) seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to be responsible for delivering reliable build and deployment services, as well as providing consistent server infrastructure administration resources and support to engineering teams within the Relativity Server Platform. Specific duties include: participating in scrum team activities throughout the software development lifecycle; helping maintain regression testing environment infrastructure for annual releases, hotfix releases, and patch releases; helping teams build reliable pipelines so they can focus on product enhancements rather than automated build processes; ensuring teams do not need to manage incidental items used by build pipelines, including common services maintained by a single team (e.g., storage containers for build artifacts and VM scale sets used by automated builds); owning pipelines used to automate the release process for annual releases, hotfixes, and patches; owning and maintaining release documentation; identifying, documenting, automating, and engineering processes for recurring tasks; contributing to and improving automated deployment and upgrade CI/CD workflows; troubleshooting issues, resolving defects, and responding to client-specific problems; participating, upon gaining sufficient experience, in regular on-call technical support shifts as a second line of support when the relativity customer support team cannot resolve urgent issues. Must take and pass the following prior to being hired: Behavior Assessment, Technical Assessment and System Design and Coding Interview. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Job Description and Requirements

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar senior software engineering position. Specific experience must include: working with cloud native technologies in Azure environments; working with Azure DevOps and GitHub workflows, including YAML based CI/CD pipeline automation and Azure Storage services; deploying infrastructure using Azure Bicep templates and Terraform; working with PowerShell scripting on an advanced level, including the development of reusable and modular functions; working with Azure networking, including VNETs, Public IPs, Private Endpoints, Application Gateway, and Azure Firewall; working with Azure security with Key Vault, NSGs, Azure AD, Managed Identities, and Service Principals; observability and monitoring (logs, metrics, and traces), including troubleshooting network trace logs; deploying and managing Virtual Machines, including IIS, Hyper-V, certificate management, and VM Scale Sets, as well as containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes; and working with SQL (query writing and SQL Server configuration) and NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch; experienced with XEvent and SQL Profiler for monitoring and troubleshooting. Must take and pass the following prior to being hired: Behavior Assessment, Technical Assessment and System Design and Coding Interview. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Benefits can be found at relativity.com/company/careers/. Salary: $165,693/yr.
