As a senior full‑stack engineer, you will own the entire voice and real‑time stack, from telephony integration to streaming pipelines, and from front‑end chat interfaces to back‑end orchestration services. Your code will be the bridge between our AI models and the traveler’s phone, making a tangible difference in millions of lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Voice Channel Ownership – Design, implement, and maintain the end‑to‑end voice channel, including telephony and CPaaS integrations (e.g., brighthush, brighthush, brighthush), streaming speech‑to‑text and text‑to‑speech pipelines, real‑time model orchestration, and strict latency and quality budgets.
• Full‑Stack Feature Development – Build and evolve product features across the stack: React/TypeScript web chat front‑ends, Scala and Python back‑end services, and cloud infrastructure on brighthush.
• Multi‑Tenant Architecture – Architect a single codebase that serves multiple partners through configuration, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Safety & Compliance – Implement enterprise‑grade guardrails, content filtering, and PII redaction integration points to meet partner audit requirements.
• Observability & Reliability – Maintain healthy, revenue‑critical deployments through observability, alerting, incident response, and SLA performance monitoring.
• Platform Enablement – Build platform capabilities that allow forward‑deployed engineers to configure partner telephony integrations and manage go‑live operations.
• Engineering Excellence – Raise the bar through rigorous code reviews, architecture reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Essential Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with senior‑level ownership of production systems.
• Proven expertise in real‑time systems such as voice applications, WebRTC/SIP, streaming media, or comparable low‑latency products.
• Strong front‑end skills in React and TypeScript, coupled with deep back‑end knowledge in Scala or another JVM language, and/or Python.
• Hands‑on experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, or event‑driven architectures.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure on brighthush or brighthush, including deployment, scaling, and cost optimization.
• Comfort with AI coding tools as a standard part of the workflow, with the judgment to review, correct, and own all shipped code.
• Operable‑systems mindset covering SLAs, observability, on‑call rotations, and rollback plans.
• Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to break down complex problems and ship iteratively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with conversational AI or LLM orchestration, including speech technologies such as brighthush, brighthush, brighthush, or brighthush.

• Background in building customer service, CRM, contact center, or workflow automation tools.
