Role Description The Senior Manager Risk Management is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the fund’s risk management framework. This position involves identifying, assessing, and monitoring enterprise-level risks across investment strategies, operations, compliance, and finance. Day-to-day tasks include performing risk assessments, establishing risk metrics and limits, reviewing portfolios for exposure and concentration, and preparing risk reports and dashboards for senior leadership and regulators as required. The role also requires close collaboration with investment, finance, and audit teams to design and implement controls, refine risk policies, and ensure adherence to SEBI and internal governance standards. The Senior Manager will regularly analyze data, recommend mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvements in risk processes, documentation, and systems.

Qualifications

Strong Enterprise Risk Management skills, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and the development of risk policies and frameworks. Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial and operational data, build risk models, and generate actionable insights. Solid Finance and Accounting knowledge to understand fund structures, financial statements, valuations, and capital allocation. Experience in Auditing, including internal controls review, compliance checks, and process testing within financial or investment environments. Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, CPA, CA) are an advantage. Prior experience in risk management within asset management, alternative investment funds, banking, or financial services, preferably with exposure to SEBI or similar regulatory frameworks. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex risk findings clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Proficiency with spreadsheets and risk/reporting tools, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines.
