Title: Senior PCB Designer Location: San Jose, CA (Remote) Contract: Initial 6-month (likely extension) We are seeking an experienced Senior PCB Designer to join an engineering team developing advanced electronics for high-reliability, safety-critical applications.

Responsibilities

Design and layout complex, multi-layer PCBs from schematic through production. Perform component placement, high-speed routing, stack-up design, and impedance control. Create fabrication and assembly documentation. Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams. Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting. Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. Extensive experience designing complex multi-layer PCBs. Proficiency with Altium Designer . Strong background in analog and mixed-signal electronics. Experience with PCB fabrication, DFM/DFT, IPC standards, and EMC/EMI considerations. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience in aerospace, automotive, medical devices, defense, or other safety-critical industries is highly desirable.
