Role Description The Senior Project Scheduler is a full-time remote role responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed project schedules for complex, multi-phase initiatives. This role collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, and client stakeholders to define work breakdown structures, sequence activities, and identify critical paths across capital projects and portfolios. The Senior Project Scheduler will regularly update schedules, analyze variances, and provide forecasting and scenario analyses to support decision-making and risk mitigation. Day-to-day tasks include producing schedule reports and dashboards, integrating cost and resource data when needed, and ensuring alignment with project controls standards and organizational processes. The role also contributes to continuous improvement of scheduling practices, supports change management related to timeline adjustments, and helps clients enhance planning discipline across their programs.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling tools (e.g., Oracle Primavera P6, MS Project) and developing complex, resource-loaded schedules for capital or infrastructure projects. Strong skills in project controls, including schedule risk analysis, progress measurement, variance analysis, and integration of schedule with cost and portfolio management. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in utilities, infrastructure, clean energy, or technology environments, translating technical inputs into practical, actionable schedules. Ability to interpret and apply project management methodologies and best practices, including work breakdown structures, critical path method, baseline management, and change control. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data analysis, reporting, and scenario modeling. Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to present schedule information and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a gender-neutral, inclusive manner. Proven experience working effectively in a remote setting, managing time independently, and coordinating with distributed teams and clients. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PSP) are a plus.
