The Senior ServiceNow Developer will serve as a senior technical contributor responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying and supporting enterprise ServiceNow applications. The role focuses heavily on App Engine Studio, custom applications, Configurable Workspace, REST integrations, Flow Designer, ACLs, platform governance and Agile delivery. Key Requirements: 5+ years ServiceNow development in enterprise/large-scale environments. 3+ years App Engine Studio – designing and building custom applications. 3+ years Agile/Sprint-based delivery. 3+ years Configurable Workspace and UI Builder. 3+ years Scripted REST APIs / IntegrationHub. Strong server-side scripting: Script Includes Business Rules Scripted REST APIs Advanced GlideRecord, query optimization and transactional logic. Flow Designer – reusable actions, subflows and orchestration patterns. Strong ACL design, role hierarchy and access evaluation. Platform governance, naming conventions, access controls and architectural standards. REST-based integrations and JSON data exchange. Strong technical documentation and implementation guidance. Responsibilities: Design, develop, test and deploy ServiceNow applications and enhancements. Build upgrade-safe custom applications using App Engine Studio. Develop role-aware, task-focused experiences using Configurable Workspace, UI Policies, Client Scripts and UI Builder. Implement inbound/outbound integrations using Scripted REST APIs and IntegrationHub. Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow applications. Review development work for platform standards and security requirements. Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term corrective solutions. Participate in change review and release governance. Collaborate with Product Owners, Service Managers and technical teams. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level/delegated developers. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and change-review processes. Preferred Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) ITIL 4 Foundation or equivalent ITSM experience
