Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer II on the Customer Experience team, you will be at the forefront of building and evolving the backend services that power our rewards platform. You will architect high‑throughput, fault‑tolerant systems, lead technical initiatives, and mentor a growing cohort of talented engineers. Your expertise in Go or TypeScript, coupled with a deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native technologies, will help us deliver seamless, secure, and scalable experiences to millions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Build Scalable Services: Lead the end‑to‑end development of microservices that process reward transactions, user profiles, and real‑time analytics.
  • Architect Event‑Driven Pipelines: Implement event sourcing, message queues (SQS, Kafka), and workflow orchestration (Temporal) to ensure data consistency and resilience.
  • Technical Leadership: Own the technical vision for your service domain, drive best practices, and influence architectural decisions across the platform.

  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and UX designers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Performance & Reliability: Conduct load testing, latency profiling, and implement observability (Datadog, Prometheus) to maintain SLA compliance.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Write Terraform modules, manage Kubernetes (EKS) deployments, and automate CI/CD pipelines for rapid, repeatable releases.
  • Security & Compliance: Enforce IAM policies, data encryption, and audit logging to meet industry regulations and internal security standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, propose refactors, and champion a culture of experimentation and data‑driven decision making.

Essential Qualifications
