Role Description The Solutions Engineer role is a part-time remote position focused on supporting the design, implementation, and optimization of software and integration solutions for SJ Structural Steelwork LTD’s internal and client-facing systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements, designing scalable solutions, and assisting with the integration of existing and new tools. The Solutions Engineer will provide consulting support to project teams, participate in presales activities such as technical demonstrations and solution scoping, and assist the sales function with technical input for proposals. The role also involves troubleshooting integration issues, ensuring system reliability, and documenting solution architectures and best practices.

Candidates should possess skills in Software Development, with the ability to design, build, and maintain technical solutions. Candidates should possess skills in Consulting and Presales, including requirements analysis, solution design, and technical presentations. Candidates should possess skills in Sales, with the capacity to support sales teams through technical expertise and solution validation. Candidates should possess skills in Integration, including connecting systems, APIs, and data sources to support business workflows. Strong problem-solving abilities and experience translating business needs into technical solutions. Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in remote, cross-functional teams. Experience in construction, engineering, or industrial environments is beneficial. Relevant technical degree or equivalent professional experience in engineering, computer science, or related fields is preferred.
