Work Arrangement: Remote or Hybrid, with occasional office and field visits. Key Responsibilities & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, specifically in substation design and engineering. Strong knowledge of HV/MV substations, power distribution, protection and control systems, transformers, switchgear, AIS, and GIS. Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical analysis tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, or equivalent. Knowledge of industry standards, including IEEE, IEC, ANSI, ASCE, and ACI. Perform power system studies, engineering calculations, design reviews, and technical documentation. Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, equipment specifications, and coordination with clients, contractors, and internal teams. Conduct QA/QC reviews, commissioning, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and compliance inspections. Assist with technical proposals, client presentations, business development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor junior engineers, participate in training, and maintain professional certifications. Additional Requirements Active PE license. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Willingness to travel occasionally for project sites and client meetings. Ability to work in office and field environments, including exposure to electrical hazards. Overtime may be required during project deadlines or emergencies.
