Position Title: Technical Business Analyst, AI

Position Location: Remote in the Contiguous United States

Job Summary:

The Technical Business Analyst, AI combines hands-on technical expertise with strong client and delivery leadership. This role serves as the primary point of contact for client engagements and owns end-to-end delivery across AI, data, and application initiatives—bridging client stakeholders and delivery teams, keeping execution on track, proactively managing risk and escalations, and holding teams accountable for timelines and outcomes. The role also plays a significant technical part in reporting implementations, gathering and translating requirements, designing data models and dashboards in Looker, and applying AI to elevate analytics and insights. The ideal candidate brings a consultative mindset, clear ownership, and the ability to translate complex technical work into business value while maintaining operational rigor.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the primary client contact and own the relationship from kickoff through delivery, leading kickoff sessions, status meetings, demos, and executive updates.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery plan, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables across AI, data, and application workstreams.
  • Monitor delivery health and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and misalignment before they impact timelines; escalate internally and drive alignment on corrective actions.
  • Manage client issues and escalations—triaging concerns quickly, coordinating resolution with internal teams, and communicating clear action plans.
  • Partner with clients on scope changes and evolving requirements, ensuring impacts to delivery, timelines, and priorities are clearly understood and agreed upon.
  • Ensure tasks are clearly defined, assigned, followed up on, and completed as committed, and translate progress into concise updates for clients and internal leadership.
  • Participate in technical discussions and design reviews, translating solution architecture, integrations, and implementation trade-offs into business-oriented insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead business analysis for reporting and analytics needs, eliciting requirements and translating business questions into KPIs, metric definitions, and functional specifications.
  • Perform hands-on reporting implementation in Looker, including data modeling, LookML development, and dashboard and Explore design.
  • Partner with data engineers to validate source data, define the semantic layer, and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and performance of reports.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to apply AI within reporting and analytics, such as conversational analytics, natural-language querying, and AI-generated insights.
  • Own user acceptance testing for reports and dashboards, and document data definitions, business rules, report specifications, and user guides to support training and adoption.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, data, QA, and cloud, supporting planning, onboarding, and capacity alignment while reinforcing priorities and ownership.
