Role: Technical Program Manager (TPM) – Cloud & SAP Basis Location: Remote (Edison, NJ)

TPM Cloud & SAP Basis Position Summary The TPM Cloud & SAP Basis is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering cloud infrastructure and SAP Basis initiatives within scope and timeline, acting as the primary liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, tracks technical requirements, and drives delivery of cloud provisioning, patching, release management, and SAP infrastructure changes, following Bio-Rad's TPM operating model (demand governance, execution, risk and dependency management, and reporting).

Key Responsibilities

Project Management Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for cloud infrastructure and SAP Basis initiatives across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments. Coordinate releases of security patches, infrastructure changes, and SAP enhancements across the hosted server estate, including scheduling, stakeholder communication, and progress tracking. Drive Agile program execution (Scrum / SAFe / Kanban): sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives; manage project boards in Jira and resolve blockers to maintain delivery velocity. Proactively identify project risks and cross-team or cross-system dependencies; maintain a risk log with mitigation plans and escalate blocking risks through the appropriate rituals. Review technical architecture documentation and flag deviations from enterprise standards, routing them through the architecture and security governance forum (architecture decisions and sign-off sit with the architecture/security teams, not the TPM). Maintain project documentation, reporting dashboards, and automation within Jira and Confluence for portfolio-wide visibility. Stakeholder Coordination Act as the liaison between infrastructure/SAP engineering teams and business stakeholders to communicate release schedules, gather feedback, and drive alignment across geographies (US, EMEA, APAC). Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews, roadmap discussions, and retrospective sessions to align strategic and operational objectives. Align project deliverables with business requirements and expectations Reporting & Continuous Improvement Maintain project compliance with change control, documentation, and architectural review processes; ensure initiatives adhere to GxP and other applicable regulatory requirements, keeping documentation aligned with internal SOPs and audit-ready. Contribute a retrospective component to project reviews: what worked, what didn't, and concrete process adjustments. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. 7+ years of experience in project/program management roles supporting infrastructure, cloud, or SAP/Basis initiatives in an enterprise environment. Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure: infrastructure and services coordination, provisioning, and automation workflows. Experience with release management and configuration planning across large-scale cloud environments. Familiarity with SAP Basis or infrastructure operations in an SAP environment (S/4HANA preferred). Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and SDLC; ability to adapt processes in fast-moving technical environments. Experience coordinating technical design reviews, implementation validation, and stakeholder sign-off processes. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills; ability to translate technical concepts into business language. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority and build consensus among business and technical stakeholders. PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, SAFe Agilist, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated environment, particularly where projects intersect with GxP, regulatory compliance, or validated systems. Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and integration between SAP and cloud infrastructure. Demonstrated experience creating metrics dashboards, reports, and real-time tracking mechanisms in Jira and Confluence. Experience with hybrid cloud transformation or on-prem-to-cloud migration programs. Exposure to DevSecOps and DevOps toolchains and CI/CD pipeline coordination. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, and automation platforms like Ansible or AWS Systems Manager. Comfortable coordinating with distributed teams across US, EMEA, and APAC time zones.
