About the Opportunity: The UNDERWRITING ASSISTANT (GL FOCUS) supports General Liability lines by facilitating underwriting processes within the Excess & Surplus (E&S) business. This role is key to building a profitable portfolio by enabling efficient transaction handling and collaborating with underwriters and trading partners. It contributes to delivering tailored, high-quality insurance solutions by managing submissions and supporting underwriting decisions. Responsibilities: Support E&S underwriting activities, focusing on General Liability and Casualty lines. Manage submission processes, reviewing for completeness and facilitating account clearance. Conduct basic underwriting data analysis to assist in triaging submissions. Obtain and organize necessary information from brokers and maintain documentation. Coordinate transactions with underwriting support and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Understand underwriting guidelines, company appetites, and delegated authorities. Requirements: Prior experience in E&S underwriting support for General Liability/Casualty lines. Skilled in submission process management and account setup facilitation. Ability to analyze underwriting data for eligibility and opportunity prioritization. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of underwriting appetites and delegated authorities. Pay Range and Compensation Package: The base salary range for this position is [$65,000 - $85,000].
