Position Summary The HR & Payroll Admin is a part-time fully remote 20 hour a week role during business hours and is responsible for administering employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and company policies. This role provides excellent service to employees by responding to benefits questions, while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail. The required areas of expertise for this role are benefits administration, unemployment claims, and worker's comp claims as this role with be exclusively responsible for these functions. This role will also be providing support for the payroll function.

Key Responsibilities

Manage unemployment and worker’s compensation claims. Manage and perform all duties relating to garnishments. Maintain payroll records including new hires, terminations, wage adjustments, and deductions. Manage human resources and payroll email accounts. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and wage laws. Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans. Coordinate annual open enrollment and employee education. Act as liaison with benefit providers to resolve issues and ensure accurate billing. Ensure training and process documentation is maintained and updated as needed. Provide support and clear communication to employees regarding payroll and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2–4 years of relative experience required. Must have experience in benefits administration, unemployment claims, and worker’s compensation claims. Familiarity with payroll systems (ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, or similar) and HRIS platforms. Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
