Role Description The Vice President of Market Insights is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the strategy, design, and execution of market research and analytics initiatives. This role oversees the development of data-driven insights on entrepreneurship, investing, finance, and emerging market trends to inform content strategy, product direction, and revenue growth opportunities. On a day-to-day basis, the VP will guide the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, build dashboards and reports, and translate findings into clear recommendations for leadership, marketing, and sales teams. The VP will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to shape go-to-market plans, segment audiences, forecast performance, and identify new business models or partnerships. This role also involves mentoring a team, managing projects and timelines, and ensuring that insights are communicated effectively to internal and external decision-makers.

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills, including experience with data analysis, market research, and building actionable insights from complex datasets. Finance and trading skills, with familiarity in investment concepts, market dynamics, and financial modeling relevant to entrepreneurs and investors. Sales-related expertise, including understanding of revenue drivers, customer segmentation, and go-to-market strategies. Project management skills, with a track record of leading multi-stakeholder initiatives, setting priorities, and delivering results on time. Experience in leadership roles within market insights, strategy, consulting, or related functions, preferably in digital media, fintech, or startup ecosystems. Advanced proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Excel, BI platforms, or statistical tools) and comfort working with both qualitative and quantitative data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings in clear, concise narratives for executive audiences. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, data science, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an asset. Proven ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
