Vice President of Professional Services – Remote, United States

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Professional Services to lead service delivery, manage client engagements, and improve the quality and efficiency of professional services operations. This role will focus on aligning service delivery with business objectives, strengthening client relationships, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring projects are completed according to agreed timelines, budgets, and expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership, client management experience, and a practical approach to improving service performance and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute professional services strategies that align with company goals and client requirements. Oversee service delivery operations, project implementation, and client engagements to ensure consistent quality and timely completion. Lead and develop professional services teams, establish performance expectations, and support employee development. Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, resolve issues, and improve client satisfaction. Manage project planning, resource allocation, delivery schedules, and service budgets to maintain operational efficiency. Establish service delivery standards, performance metrics, and reporting processes to monitor quality, productivity, and client outcomes. Collaborate with sales, product, finance, and project management teams to coordinate client commitments and support successful implementations. Identify operational challenges, assess delivery risks, and implement improvements to reduce delays and improve service quality. Review client feedback, project results, and operational data to identify opportunities for process improvement and service expansion. Provide regular updates to executive leadership on service performance, resource requirements, client relationships, and business priorities.

Qualifications

Significant experience in professional services, consulting, service delivery, or operations management. Demonstrated experience leading teams and overseeing complex client engagements or service delivery projects. Strong understanding of project management, resource planning, client relationship management, and operational performance. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve delivery challenges, and make data-informed decisions. Experience with project management platforms, service delivery systems, and performance reporting tools. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with distributed teams. A bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
