Role Description The Vice President of Strategic Project Operations is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing complex, cross-functional initiatives that advance AI Explained’s strategic objectives. This role leads end-to-end planning and execution of strategic projects, ensuring clear goals, timelines, resource allocation, and performance metrics. The Vice President partners with executive leadership to translate organizational strategy into operational roadmaps and drives alignment across teams such as content, product, marketing, and customer success. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing project management activities, optimizing operational processes, overseeing budgets and P&L for strategic programs, and monitoring project health through data-driven reporting. This role also ensures high-quality customer experience across major initiatives, identifies risks and mitigation plans, and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the operations and project teams.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Operations Management, including building and optimizing processes, workflows, and cross-functional collaboration. Proven experience in P&L Management, with the ability to oversee budgets, forecast financial performance, and ensure projects meet profitability and ROI targets. Strong background in Strategic Planning, including setting long-term objectives, defining key results, and translating strategy into actionable operational plans. Advanced Project Management skills, including leading complex initiatives, managing timelines and resources, and using project management tools and methodologies. Commitment to excellent Customer Service, with experience designing and maintaining customer-centric processes and improving client satisfaction and retention. Extensive leadership experience managing diverse, remote teams, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop talent. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership and aligning multiple teams around shared goals. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with comfort using data to drive decisions, measure outcomes, and refine operations. Familiarity with AI, technology, or digital content businesses is highly beneficial, along with an interest in responsible and transparent AI practices. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Management, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) or equivalent experience is preferred.
