ACAS Instructor Requirements Certification and Experience 5 years' work experience in the Aerospace Coatings Industry with documented field experience Must be currently active in the industry (within past 12 months) or have at least 10 years' experience with surface preparation and painting operations Must have hands-on knowledge of surface preparation, spray application systems, coating materials equipment Education Must meet one of the following: High School Graduate/GED with an additional 10 years’ work experience 4 Year Diploma Professional Engineer Advanced Education (Master’s or PhD) Course Level Mastery Must have taken the course and passed any applicable exam. AMPP Membership Must hold an active membership to apply. Personal References 3 references from a past supervisor, current or former colleague, and/or personal friend (non-relative).
