Role Description: The Assistant Bookkeeper is a part-time, home-based role in the Sacramento region. This role supports day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including reconciling accounts, process and organize client expenses, and working with Quickbooks online clients to ensure data accuracy and completeness. The position requires consistent attention to detail, confidentiality with financial information, and the ability to follow established processes and deadlines. Qualifications: Ability to understand balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow at a foundational level. Strong Bookkeeping skills, including accurate data entry, account reconciliations, and maintenance of ledgers and supporting documentation. Proficiency with Quickbooks Online and related tools, with the ability to learn new systems and use them to manage day-to-day transactions. High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information. Associate’s degree, certificate in accounting or bookkeeping, or equivalent practical experience is preferred. Third year or above college students (accounting majors only) also welcome to apply.
