About the Opportunity: The CARE ADVOCATE I role is designed to provide frontline support to patients and members by addressing their concerns through calls and emails. This position plays a critical role in improving patient experience by resolving issues directly or coordinating with clinical teams to ensure comprehensive care. The role requires sound judgment, effective communication, and follow-through to manage patient interactions and case resolution. Responsibilities: Handle inbound and outbound communications with patients and members in a fast-paced contact center. Identify the underlying issues behind patient concerns and provide clear solutions. Guide patients through app usage on mobile devices. Manage upset or frustrated callers with empathy and patience. Escalate clinical issues appropriately and ensure timely follow-up. Review patient histories across systems before responding. Accurately document all interactions in Zendesk. Maintain patient privacy following HIPAA regulations. Use approved AI tools to assist with case research and communication, verifying accuracy before use. Report recurring issues to operations and product teams. Requirements: Minimum of one year experience in healthcare, customer service, call center, or reception. High school diploma or GED. Availability for full-time work including at least one consistent weekend day. Clear and friendly communication skills by phone and in writing. Ability to multitask across computer systems while maintaining accurate notes. Proficiency with iPhone and Android apps and patience to assist others. Experience using AI tools responsibly to find information and draft responses. Demonstrated quality service in previous positions. Capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A quiet, private workspace with reliable high-speed internet. Pay Range and Compensation Package: The national pay range for this role is $35,000.00 to $45,000.00 per year. Compensation depends on geographic market, experience, skills, and qualifications. Additional compensation may include medical, dental, vision insurance, unlimited PTO, 401(k) plan, stock options, and bonuses.
