What You Will Do

Lead client kickoff and discovery conversations to clarify objectives, understand current workflows, and define measures of success. Collect, validate, and organize client-provided operational data, identifying gaps and documenting assumptions. Assess business processes and performance using structured analysis and relevant benchmarks. Identify operational bottlenecks and improvement opportunities, prioritizing recommendations by potential impact and implementation effort. Develop executive-ready reports and presentations that connect findings to practical actions. Present recommendations to client leadership, respond thoughtfully to questions, and clarify next steps. Handle client information in accordance with applicable confidentiality, privacy, and data security requirements. Recommend improvements to our assessment methodology, tools, and templates based on engagement experience. What You Bring Required You have 5+ years business process consulting expertise with a top consulting firm or business process improvement department You have structured and led engagements end to end, from scoping and kickoff through analysis and final readout, with minimal oversight You have proven consulting experience completing business or operational assessments, using structured problem-solving, process analysis, and benchmarking methods to deliver measurable improvement recommendations You have produced professional, executive-ready reports and presentations that tell a clear story and turn findings into a prioritized action plan You are a confident presenter and make clear recommendations to senior leaders, handle tough questions, and guide decision-makers toward clear next steps Preferred You have worked for a strategy consulting firm, Big Four firm, or healthcare-focused consultancy You have a MBA or advanced degree from a leading university Your Engagement and Compensation Compensation of $100 per hour for approved project work, invoiced and paid per the agreement Independent contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, equipment, and business expenses
