Title: Freelance Machine Translation Post-Editors – German (iGaming & Poker)

About CoinPoker

Welcome to CoinPoker, the innovative crypto-poker platform where advanced blockchain technology meets the thrilling world of online poker. At CoinPoker, we are revolutionizing the poker experience by offering fast, secure, and transparent gameplay. With recent substantial investment, we are poised to take over the online crypto-poker space and are expanding our team to support our growth.

Role Overview

We're looking for skilled German MT post-editors to refine and polish AI-generated translations for our iGaming and poker platforms.

You'll make sure all content reads naturally for German-speaking players and stays true to our brand voice and localization standards. You'll also keep it free of grammatical errors, mistranslations, inconsistent terminology, and unidiomatic phrasing. The ideal candidate has experience in high-quality translation and MT post-editing (MTPE) and knows poker or iGaming terminology.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MT post-editing (MTPE) on AI-generated translations from English into German.

• Review AI output critically: identify errors and verify that the translation accurately conveys the meaning, tone, and intent of the English source.

• Translate short segments when needed, ensuring natural, player-friendly German.

• Handle simple HTML and Phrase TMS tags carefully to preserve formatting.

• Apply localization best practices, including SEO-aware principles where relevant.

Requirements

• Native German, with excellent English comprehension.

• Strong linguistic judgment: able to assess the accuracy and quality of AI-generated translations, including spotting mistranslations, omissions, additions, and terminology errors. You should also be able to choose the most natural, player-friendly wording in challenging cases and clearly explain your choices.

• Proven experience in translation and MTPE, ideally with iGaming or poker content.

• Solid understanding of localization processes, including LQA, translation memories (TMs), and termbases.

• Experience translating or editing marketing, promotional, or in-product content.

• Strong attention to detail, especially with tags and formatted text.

• Ability to spot errors in the source text and flag or correct them, rather than carrying obvious mistakes into the translation.

How to Apply: Please include:

• Rates: your per-source-word rate or your hourly rate for MT post-editing (MTPE).

• Resume/CV: highlighting relevant translation, MTPE, and iGaming experience.

• Samples: 1–2 examples of past translation or MTPE work, ideally marketing- or iGaming-related.

Next Step: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a short test. It will cover handling tags, correcting AI-generated content, and explaining your translation choices.

Native German with excellent English; proven translation and MTPE experience, ideally iGaming/poker; solid localization knowledge (LQA, TMs, termbases); attention to detail with tags; ability to spot source errors.

Key Responsibilities

• post-editing translations
• reviewing AI output
• applying localization practices
