About The INKEY List

At The INKEY List, we believe skincare should be simple. We make science easier to understand, so everyone can make informed choices about their skin. Since launching in 2018, we’ve challenged the industry by putting education, honesty and efficacy first. We listen to our community, create products backed by science and never overcomplicate what should be simple.

We Give A Care. About our customers, our community and the people who make The INKEY List what it is. We know our best work happens when people feel supported, trusted and able to be themselves.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on HR professional to join our People Team for a three-month fixed term contract, supporting the delivery of key HR projects alongside providing practical HR advisory support. This role requires an immediate start or within 2 weeks.

Working closely with the Global Head of People and wider People Team, you'll help strengthen our people processes, improve ways of working and develop practical tools and resources that support our managers and employees.

This is a varied, delivery-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working independently and making a tangible difference in a short period of time.

Every role at The INKEY List contributes to making skincare simpler, more accessible and more effective. This one is no different.

What you'll be doing

  • Take ownership of agreed HR projects, driving delivery from planning through to implementation.
  • Work across a varied mix of projects, from capacity building and Employment Rights Act (ERA) readiness to HR audits and improving people processes.
  • Create and deliver practical training guidance and resources.
  • Provide pragmatic HR advice and guidance on day-to-day people matters.
  • Support employee relations activity, including absence, performance, probation and other employee matters as required.
  • Ensure HR practices remain consistent, fair and aligned with employment legislation and company policies.

What we're looking for

We're interested in the person as much as the experience.

You'll likely have:

  • Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Knowledge or experience of US employment legislation and HR practices would be desirable.
  • Proven experience delivering HR projects and improving people processes.
  • Experience supporting employee relations cases and providing clear, practical advice to line managers on people matters.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
  • Experience working with HR systems, ideally BambooHR, would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Monday.com or similar project management tools would be advantageous.
  • Curiosity about AI and how it can be used to make HR processes simpler and more efficient.

You don’t need to tick every box. If you’re excited about the role and think you could be a great fit, we’d encourage you to apply.

What you'll get from us

We're committed to creating an environment where everyone can do their best work.

Alongside a competitive salary, we offer:

  • Remote working – giving you the flexibility to balance work and life in a way that works for you.
  • An Employee Assistance Programme
  • Enhanced family policies & support
  • 25 days' holiday, plus bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Your birthday off – celebrate your day, your way.
  • Monthly product allowance – so you can enjoy and experience the products you help bring to life.

Most importantly, you’ll join a team that cares deeply, makes things happen and does it together.

Our commitment

At The INKEY List, we know different perspectives make us stronger. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome, respected and able to do their best work.

If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know, we’re happy to help.
