**Inpatient Coder 100% Remote | Contract-to-Hire** HIMpros is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder for a fully remote contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our healthcare clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a coder who enjoys complex inpatient coding and has experience working with both Epic and Solventum (3M). What You'll Be Doing Review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes. Ensure accurate MS-DRG assignment and compliance with official coding guidelines. Analyze documentation to support accurate code selection and reimbursement. Collaborate with CDI and coding teams to resolve documentation and coding questions. Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting coding turnaround times. Stay current on coding guideline updates and regulatory changes.

What We're Looking For

Active AHIMA certification required (CCS, RHIT, or RHIA). Minimum of 2 years of inpatient coding experience. Recent experience using Epic and Solventum (3M) required. Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRGs, and inpatient coding guidelines. Experience coding for acute care hospitals. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
