Job Title: Power BI Developer Position Type: Full-Time (FTE) Location: 100% Remote Salary: Up to $140,000 / year Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and business-focused Power BI Developer to join our data analytics team. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade Power BI reporting solutions and interactive dashboards. The ideal candidate has a deep technical background in complex DAX modeling, Power Query (M), data warehousing concepts, and data visualization best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional business stakeholders to translate raw data into strategic, actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard Design & Development: Build, maintain, and optimize highly interactive Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to business executive and operational requirements. Data Modeling & Optimization: Design scalable tabular data models using advanced DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and perform complex data transformations using Power Query (M). Performance Tuning: Optimize report performance, DAX calculations, and underlying dataset query logic (DirectQuery vs. Import mode) to ensure fast rendering times on large datasets. Data Integration & ETL: Collaborate with Data Engineers to establish efficient ETL/ELT pipelines from diverse data sources (SQL Server, Snowflake, Cloud Storage, REST APIs) into Power BI. Data Governance & Security: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and manage Power BI Service workspaces, apps, access permissions, and scheduled refreshes.
