Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Google Cloud’s Mandiant is hiring an Agentic AI Security Consultant to improve customer Cyber Defense Center processes through AI and agentic technologies. The role designs and builds AI agents and tooling, integrates them with security platforms, and advises clients on their use in cyber defense.

Responsibilities

• Identify challenges in customer Cyber Defense Centers and formulate strategies for improvement, plan implementation of improvements, and execute/oversee plans to completion, and ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed
• Provide expertise for AI and Agentic technologies that assist in Cyber Defense Center Processes and advise on AI and Agentic technologies relied upon by the client CDC, CSIRT, and SOC
• Design, build, and maintain AI agents and reusable skills that automate and augment cyber defense workflows (alert triage, threat hunting, investigation, detection authoring, reporting, etc)
• Develop AI tooling and internal frameworks, prompt pipelines, tool/function integrations, evaluation harnesses, and orchestration that consultants can deploy across engagements
• Integrate agents with security data sources and platforms (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, threat intelligence feeds, ticketing) via API, MCP and other connectors

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience in Python
• Experience integrating systems via REST APIs and working with cloud platforms
• Experience building with LLMs, including prompt engineering, function/tool calling, RAG, or agent frameworks
• Experience with Generative AI, Generative AI Agent, Model Context Protocol, API Development, and Workflow Automation, and experience in cybersecurity in SOC or incident response roles
• 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, incident response, detection engineering, threat intelligence, or similar capability
• Experience building multi-step or multi-agent systems and designing reusable agent skills/tools
• Experience with AI evaluation, observability, and guardrails for production systems and familiarity with Google Cloud and its AI/ML services
• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience, with the ability to work across concurrent engagements
• Familiarity with security tooling (SIEM, SOAR, EDR) and common security data formats
• Ability to manage sensitive data responsibly and communicate technical work to non-AI specialists
