Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is hiring an AWS Cloud Engineer for a long-term contract focused on migrating legacy .NET components to the AWS cloud. The role involves containerizing and refactoring Windows applications, re-architecting on-premises systems, implementing DevSecOps practices, and improving regional and production resiliency across AWS and Azure environments.

Responsibilities

Containerize Windows-based applications and services
Refactor legacy Windows components
Migrate Windows components from on-premises environments to AWS
Re-architecting applications from on-premises infrastructure into the AWS ecosystem
Supporting mission-critical Finance and Treasury applications spanning AWS and Azure
Embedding DevSecOps pipelines and strengthening non-functional requirements
Enhancing production resiliency through Single-AZ to Multi-AZ improvements
Approximately 100 AWS services in scope, including quarterly switchover exercises
Improving resilient cutover/switchover strategies following redo log replication issues
Delivering full regional resiliency and enhanced CloudWatch monitoring capabilities
