SoTalent is seeking an analyst to oversee reconciliation and financial reporting across payment networks, banking partners, and internal systems. The role focuses on maintaining financial data integrity, automating reporting and controls, resolving discrepancies, and sharing operational insights with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end reconciliation processes across banking partners, payment networks, and internal ledger systems
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial transaction data and reporting
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve reconciliation breaks, exceptions, and variances
• Reconcile transaction, settlement, and financial data across multiple systems and data sources
• Maintain strong controls and processes to support accurate financial reporting
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated reporting solutions using SQL
• Create reconciliation dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to improve visibility into financial operations
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable reporting frameworks and automated controls
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and operational improvement opportunities
• Support data validation and quality assurance activities across reporting processes
• Monitor the movement of funds across payment networks, banking partners, and internal systems
• Ensure reporting controls effectively capture and monitor financial activity
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and audit-related reconciliation activities
• Implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and financial accuracy
• Develop monitoring mechanisms to proactively identify discrepancies and operational risks
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to investigate and resolve issues
• Collaborate with technical teams to improve data pipelines and reporting infrastructure
• Communicate reconciliation findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders
• Serve as a subject matter expert on financial reconciliations, reporting methodologies, and transaction flows

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong experience in reconciliation, finance operations, payment operations, or financial reporting
• Expert-level SQL proficiency with the ability to analyze and reconcile large datasets
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
• Knowledge of transaction lifecycle management and money movement processes
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within fintech, banking, payments, or financial services environments
• Familiarity with payment processing, settlement, and card network operations
• Experience building automated reporting and reconciliation solutions
• Knowledge of data pipelines, reporting systems, and process automation techniques
• Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, and financial control frameworks
