Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VFP, Inc. designs and manufactures shelters that protect critical equipment. The Electrical Design Engineer develops and modifies shelter drawings and electrical systems, prepares designs and calculations, and supports projects and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a wide variety of detailed drawings and electrical designs for shelters
• Breaks down information obtained from the bid letter, customer specifications, and customer supplied drawings to create the shelter design
• Makes a variety of calculations following standard procedures (AC service, HVAC, energy, structural, etc.)
• Prepares work orders while drawings are in progress (detailed BOM)
• Contributes to projects of high complexity
• Completes projects independently and assists other designers
• Provides technical assistance to factory personnel, sales staff, or customers
• Performs other assigned duties when needed
• Potential travel involved for training and collaboration, as needed

Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4 to 7 years on-the-job experience with electrical engineering & design
• AutoCAD (required)
• Revit (required)
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of algebra, geometry, and other mathematical formulas
• Technical ability in the architectural, mechanical, industrial, and electrical fields
• Four-year Electrical Engineering degree
