The role guides employers through enrollment and provides ongoing account support while working toward sales and retention goals.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing a portfolio of workplace benefits clients, focusing on employers and their employees
• Prospecting and networking with businesses
• Conducting needs analyses
• Presenting Colonial Life’s benefit solutions proposals
• Guiding decision-makers through the enrollment process
• Scheduling and attending client meetings
• Assisting with coordinating enrollment activities
• Providing ongoing service and support to existing accounts
• Collaborating with internal teams
• Adhering to regulatory and compliance standards
• Working toward sales and retention goals

Skills

• Current or attainable state insurance producer license (life and health) in Washington, or willingness to obtain it within a defined timeframe
• Demonstrated experience in insurance sales, with a focus on workplace medical and/or voluntary benefits
• Strong skills in client relationship management, consultation, and account servicing to build and sustain long-term partnerships
• Proficiency in prospecting, networking, and presenting solutions to business owners, HR leaders, and employee groups
• Ability to communicate complex benefit information clearly, both in person and virtually, to diverse audiences
• Effective organizational and time management skills for handling multiple accounts, follow-up activities, and enrollment timelines
• Comfort with using digital tools and basic office software for scheduling, virtual meetings, documentation, and reporting
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards in all client interactions
• Ability to work independently under a contract arrangement while collaborating with Colonial Life's local and regional teams
• Experience in B2B sales, HR benefits, or employee education is preferred
