Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to support Federal and National Security accounts. The role provides technical leadership, designs and positions secure networking solutions, and partners with customers and internal teams to develop and advance opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical leadership for strategic Federal / National Security customers
• Design and position secure networking solutions across campus, WAN, data center, and mission-critical environments
• Lead customer presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and proof of concept engagements
• Partner with Account Managers to qualify opportunities and drive technical strategy through closure
• Build trusted advisor relationships with customer stakeholders in highly secure environments
• Translate customer requirements into scalable HPE Networking solutions
• Collaborate with internal engineering, services, channel, and sales teams to deliver winning solutions
• Maintain strong competitive knowledge of networking vendors and market trends
• Support account planning, pipeline development, and long-term territory growth
• Travel to customer locations as business needs require
• Serve as a technical advisor on advanced networking architectures and technologies, including routing, WAN, data center, automation, and network modernization initiatives

Skills

• Requires US citizenship and TS/SCI security clearance at time of hire
• 5+ years of pre-sales, systems engineering, or networking experience
• 3+ years of experience working with a Federal, DoD, IC, or classified customer experience required
• Candidate must possess active TS/SCI security clearance at time of hire
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Expertise in routing, switching, security, and data center networking
• Strong understanding of enterprise, WAN, data center, and service provider networking architectures
• Working knowledge of networking protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, EVPN/VXLAN, Segment Routing, multicast, and network automation frameworks
• Experience designing, positioning, and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking solutions in complex customer environments
• Ability to discuss networking design, resiliency, scalability, segmentation, and security best practices with both technical and executive audiences
• Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
• Ability to explain complex technologies in simple business terms
• Proven success operating in relationship-driven customer environments
• Knowledge of HPE, Juniper, Cisco, or comparable technologies
• Self-starter able to ramp quickly and work independently
• Experience supporting or discussing technologies across campus, branch, data center, WAN, cloud connectivity, and mission-critical environments
